Alright, here's the deal: blogger's been acting really oddly for me lately, so I think for my interlochen dealy, I'm going to use live journal, and the blog will be for in Eau Claire. But I'm gonna start using the LJ now, do here's my address:

htpp://www.livejournal.com/users/almosttrying/

Alright! Seeya there!

Supergirl flies on over to livejournal.
Lauren Scott, Eau Claire, WI

wheeeeee now maybe i will be on google!
A quick note: so my blog isn't working very well. It sorta loads the page halfway and stops. BUT, you CAN see the entire thing (or at least this works for me) by doing this: instead of hitting reload, just click the little address bar with the URL and hit enter. Next time it loads, you can see the whole thing. At least, every time I try it, it works.

So now check this out! I thought this was pretty cool, it gives you a lot of information and stuff.

find your element
at mutedfaith.com.

So guess what I did last night. I killed my knee. Very badly. Basically I can't walk on my right leg, and all I have to help me is an ice pack that practically doesn't work and an umbrella for a "cane". Anyway, I've decided to take this optimistically and hope that it clears up in a day or two. I'm still doin' what I do, although it can prove kinda hard sometimes, 'cause, well, y'all know how much I love moving around. Anyway, on the brighter side, PARTY ON TUESDAY! At Demler park! 6:00! Scoooooooore! Please please be there, cause maybe you'll never see me again for a year. And I want to say goodbye to people :)

Ooooh! My state honors choir practice CD came today in the mail. I'm listening to it right now. We sound pretty! Yay! I'm proud.

So I really need to start getting ready for school. I still haven't gotten so many things! And I need to decide what I have to take. Oh god, this song is so beautiful! I can't even believe those soloists are human, let alone high school aged girls. They just sound amazing. Anyway, I got most of my school supplies yesterday, woohoo! Notebooks, pencils, a new backpack (first new backpack since 5th grade, wow), the like. Man, the beginning of the school year is such an exciting time, especially this year. I still can't really comprehend that in a month I will have been living there for a while. . . it all seems so surreal and alien. OH WOW, less than two weeks 'till I'm there! Scary scary scary. What if I can't handle the workload? What if everyone's amazing, and I'm just this dull, two dimensional bore that nobody likes? Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I wonder if I'll get very homesick. Usually I don't get that homesick, but you never know. This is very different than anything else I've ever done. But you know what? I'm just gonna have to go in there with my brave face on, and take my fear by STORM! Bam, interlochen. I shan't be scared.

Ahhhh, I LOVE this song! I'd forgotten about it, and it's so great. Riiiiiide onnnnn, King Jeeeeesuuuuuuuuuuus! No maaaaaaaaan, hinder thee. I get like psycho when I sing this song 'cause I get really carried away. I totally understand those gospel choirs where they're so passionate about singing, because the songs are so powerful that even as a non-christian I got excited. Funny how music can do that.

Ahhhhahahaha, there's my voice on the cd! I'm reading the intro to the next song. I get a kick out of that. Heh heh.

Holy shit, I really need to take a shower. I am SO dirty. e e cummings is such an amazing poet. His work is so innovative. I REALLY need to read some poetry before I head off.

I love how when you touch the computer screen the image seems to ripple. It's actually really pretty. It sort of gives me that tiny feeling of influencing something. It's funny how even false senses of that can be intoxicating. It's sort of like dipping your finger into a pool of water. Except the water is obviously more beautiful than poking a computer screen :)

THAT was the most beautiful chord. In. The. Entire. World. It's even prettier than that one chord in the piano part for "ragtime" where there all the stacked minor thirds. Well, they're both beautiful in their own ways. But this chord just makes your hair stand on end. Mmmm.

Wow, soup sounds really good right now! I think I'm going to gow downstairs, make myself some soup, and then take a bath. Relaxxxxxationnnnnnn. Niiiiice.

Supergirl is relaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxed.

Liz and Jaime don't love me anymore :(

Supergirl is sad.
Woohoo, going to Mona Lisa's tonight for dinner with my family, then probably going to ellen o'meara's house to watch some movies. I haven't seen her in FOREVER! And I love her soooooooo much! Well, forever as in a week or two. And right before that we were hanging out so much. Man, Ellen just seriously rocks my world.

Yuck, I don't feel well. Well dinner soon.

Listening to the Starlight mints, of course. Twilight Showdown. Good song. All of their sogs are good. I just need their other albums now, sooooo badly.

I really like the word whom. With whom, by whom, from whom, to whom, over whom, next to whom, around whom, under whom, away from whom, near whom, do you walk? Good question.

Ohhhh, Valerie flaaaaaames.

Hmmm, maybe I can also do something with Glenna. I love her so much too! Man. Girls girls girls. Woohoo!

Alright, I have to go quickly throw on some pants before I go out to eat. Check y'all later!

Supergirl enjoys some fine cookin'.

AMAZING MOMENT OF MY LIFE:

well, actually, not that amazing, but halfway. definitely had a lot more amazingness potential. Well, anyway, so I'm online, and a "moooo" goes off, and i thought it was my alert for when R comes online--well, no. Wasn't R. It was STAR WICK. Of OZMA. I almost pissed myself. So this is the conversation I had with the lovely Ms. Wick:

almost trying: Hi, is this Star, from ozma?
almost trying: well, you're probably busy or something, i just got your screen name off of the ozma website, and i'd just like to thank you for being part of one of my favorite bands ever :-)
almost trying: your music is just captivating :-)
almost trying: well if you ever get the time, my name's Lauren, it would be interesting to talk with you
almost trying: later
Starling99 signed off at 5:09:25 PM.

Woohoo, go me. Next time I'll see if she'll talk. I wonder if she even read that, or if she was busy doing something else. Hum. Well, I can just hope that sometime I'll get to talk to one of them, and it will be a bit less one-sided than that. Well, at least I got the thrill of seeing her name on my task bar. God I'm a loser.

Man, some people really know what they're ding. Color me impressed.

Alright, well, I don't think I've really told many people this at all, so I'll just letcha know. I'm leaving tonight (today is friday) for wausau, and then tomorrow morning i'm going to chicago. I should be back late monday evening or so (i believe). Just going to hang with my grandma and cousin, go to great america, probably go shopping or something :) So off I go in a few minutes (ahhh, my family is behind schedule . . . as always) to wausau, then to chicago. Ooop, my mommy is telling me to go pack my swimming suit, so I think I should probably go . . . just leaving love to everyone--yes that includes you--for the couple days that I'm gone. Have fun without me :)

Oh, and I don't know *what* or *where* it will be, but i htink i'm going to plan on the 23rd being my goodbye party! So mark your calendars! You're ALL invited! Yes that also means you! And if you have any ideas of what i could do for it (my mom is like, "mragh, you shall not just have people hanging around my house, blah blah blah, i have no good reasons but it is so!") that are "outside the box" then email 'em to me or somethign and rock my world. :)

Supergirl hurries off to "Lauuureennnnnnn, don't forget to pack your swimsuuuuiiiiitttttt!!!":

GRRRRRRR. Lost my post. Anyway, I'll try to recap . . .

best cd ever. amazing amazing amazing. the starlight mints, the dream that stuff was made of. ooooh, seriously, worth every penny.

So needless to say, I went CD shopping today. Bought the starlight mints cd, also the music--the music and the streets--original pirate material. I am also adding 3 new cd's to m wanted list: dead kennedys--plastic surgery disasters; ours--precious; jack johnson--on and on. And also, although the whole list still stands, i have moved these three cd's to priority setting:

dead kennedys--plastic surgery disasters
the strokes--is this it
Morphine--Cure For Pain

I was very dismayed to see that best buy does not sell:
David Bowie--Hunky Dory
Shudder To Think--well, anything by shudder to think. they carried none of this at all. sadness.
Dispatch--bang bang
belle and sebastian--if you're feeling sinister

I didn't check for some of the other cd's yet, some were also very expensive. Well, expensive as in more money than i had with me at the time, not expensive as in relative to other cd prices. Yeah. I'm hoping that I can get those three priority cd's at least by the end of the summer, if I can somehow come up with the money. I only have a few allowances left, and I also NEED a new cd case (i've been double-stuffing cds and can barely zip the case any longer). Maybe I can babysit for Ben and Selika again sometime before I leave. Seriously, their little boy Clay is the cutest little boy ever. It's actually enjoyable babysitting for them, and I get paid. Rock on. You know where I'd like to work while I'm in college? A small music store. That'd be cool.

So I was talking with Rachel yesterday about careers, and I think I've decided that it would be really cool to go into journalism and fashion, as I have interest in both fields. Or journalism and politics. I'm trying to tie in writing to thinks that I find interesting, or really enjoy. I really need a job I enjoy, because, well, I think I'm too whiney to live with a job I hated. I'd get melodramatic and freak out about it all the time probably.

Rolling my stomach is really peaceful. Or at least right now thats the way I feel. Peacefullll . . . mmmm. No music, actually, just the hum of appliances and the sound of my own breathing. And my fingers on the keyboard. Mmmm, perfect for a loser like me who sits on the computer all day. Damn, I need to get out more.

Speaking of which, last night we went downtown to the roof and watched a meteor shower (although i'm such a spaz that i couldn't sit still long enough to see a shooting star) and I saw Jared, which I haven't since my dance recital. And i saw MARY BETH! Yay! I was very excited, although her and jenny didn't mix very well with the people i was with, and that was weird. But it was a very cool night indeed.

And tonight we're sort of having a nostalgic bowling night, 'cause we used to bowl every friday in 8th grade, and now we're all getting back together again (although i don't know if everyone is coming . . . fisch isn't for sure as he lives in some state that starts with a vowel. i always get those damn vowel states mixed up). Excitedness! Speaking of which, I need to go get ready, so, cheers! And everybody go download the song "the irony of it all" by the streets, and the songs "margarita", "sir prize" and "the bandit" all by the starlight mints. I can GUARANTEE you will like them all. They ROCK MY WORLD. Alright, later y'all.

Supergirl turns up the volume and rocks out to margarita.

Man.
Dude, did you know they make RASPBETRRY MILANO cookies? Man! I just found some in my cupboard! I mean, the original milanos were good enough, the orange ones were better, the mint ones were awesome, and the raspberry ones? Well, let's eat one and find out . . . Hmmmm. I can't really tell if I like it or not. It's okayish . . . I don't think raspberry and chocolate are a good combination for me. I need milk now. Drinking milk is weird for me. I don't really like it.

Ewan McGregor is so delicious in the movie velvet goldmine. Mmmmmmmmmmm. Haha, I got banned from watching that in my house AGAIN today. It happened before, and then I ignored my mom's banning of it and watched it tonight, and she banned it. What a silly goose! She told me she thinks I'm going to get a reputation by watching movies with lots of sex scenes in it with guys. She's weird sometimes.

So I took off the shower curtain ring bracelet R gave me earlier to type on my laptop, and I forgot to put it back on, and now I feel naked. Man. Weirdness. Speaking of weirdness, my parents found connor's wallet out by the pool that he lost out there sometime in the beginning of the summer. I'm surprised that it's lasted so long. It smells a bit, though.

Gekkotan: see i don't think guys are hot
Gekkotan: but i kinda wish i did

MORE GUYS NEED TO THINK LIKE THAT!

I get shivers a lot, and they look really violent. It makes me laugh.

SCHOOL IS SO CLOSE! Man, I am just scared shitless about interlochen! Aghhhhhhh! I can't believe that in less than I month I'm not going to be . . here . . . meep. That's just so weird. I feel very unprepared! The more I think about it, I'm just getting very physically nervous and bouncy and shifty and just plain scared. I can't even fucking sit still . . . damn, I need to go to bed. Whew. Alrgiht. Bedtime for me.

Supergirl attempts to buckle down and actually get some sleep.

Monday, August 11, 2003

Isn't it weird when you remember something you really truly used to enjoy tremendously, and then you realized that you just sorta stopped exposing ourself to whatever it is? And then you kinda figure out that you still enjoy it, you're just never around it, and then you get all nostalgic and enjoy it even more. That's kind of like what I am with Weezer. Der der derrrrrr, der der derrrrrrr, say it ain't sooooooooooooo!

greenmiciah: NO YOU NEED TO HOLD HIM TIGHT
greenmiciah: you guys need to have mad sex on a swan ride

that is why I love jaime soper.

So I burned my stomach on one of those Pizzaz pizza irons. I really hope it doesn't scar, because I love my stomach very much, and i'd hate to have a big fat scar in the middle of it. So I made up a very exciting news story for Jaime about sex on a swan ride . . . Jaime's posting it in her blog if anyone is interested (atearyglower.blogspot.com), it's verrrry . . . interesting :)

Well, I'm going to go off and put my hair into "medusa twists", heh heh heh. :-D

Supergirl twists away.
I ROCK!

I finally got my shout out button to turn up pink :)

HUZZAH! Shout out! Please? I mean, why shouldn't you? You're reading my blog, that must mean you have some interest, and you're freaking online, it's not like you have anything better to do. And don't be like, "oh, it's okay, everyone else will shout out" cause maybe they won't.

Today is a day to be vulgar, obscene, pushy--fun fun fun. Cause I feel like it.

Supergirl grins at her beloved shout outs which you should add to because you love her so.

Saturday, August 09, 2003

I am making a grand list of cd's that I need. So far, in no particular order:

Elbow--asleep in the back
Bright Eyes--Fevers and mirrors
Coheed and Cambria--The Second Stage Turbine Blade
Dashboard Confessional--The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most
Radiohead--Hail To The Thief
Morphine--Cure for Pain
Shudder To Think--Pony Express Record
Dispatch--Bang Bang
Belle And Sebastian--If You're Feeling Sinister
The Starlight Mints--Dream That Stuff Was Made Of
The Strokes--Is this it?
The White Stripes--White Blood Cells
Modest Mouse--Moon and Antarctica
Smashing Pumpkis--Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness
Ani DiFranco--To the Teeth
The Streets--Original Pirate Material
David Bowie--Hunky Dory
The Music--The Music

So if you have any of those that you'd let me copy, or feel for some reason like you really think i'm nifty and want to buy me a cd, please let me know.

Un a completely unrelated topic . . . i'm a pretty bad person. hmmmm.

feeling pensive, curious, morbid, indecisive, reminiscent, tricky, sly, mischievous, dangerous, disgusting, interesting, powerful, loved, progressive, regretful, thankful, adventurous, broke, determined, confused, and tired . . . all at once . . . wow. Graced at the moment with the sounds of The Starlight Mints.

I think I should retire before I think any more.

MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
For those of you who have been reading my blog from early on int he blogging days, you'll know that my leg used to fall asleep every time I blogged. And usually that's one of the only times it would happen. Well, I was just reading R's livejournal thingy and my leg fell asleep in the same manner it usually does during a nice long blog, and I was like, "ahhh! i need to blog now!" So, yet again . . .

WAKE UP LEGGY!

Ahh, working already. Okay, that was it, just needed to get that outta my system. So don't forget to shout out, it IS there, you just need to look.

Supergirl sneezes.

Friday, August 08, 2003

Okay, two things to say today that are pretty damn important. The shout out link DOES exist, it's just that it's currently appearing in black and i haven't been able to change its color yet. so if you just highlight the area below the "someone existed at blah blah blah" part, it's there.

The second thing: alright, I need a lot of help on this one. So for the interlochen roommate application form, I have to describe my musical taste, and I want to be really accurate on this one, because it's very important to me that my roommate and i can get along musically. So I'm going to list for you a lot of the bands I listen to, and what you can do is either leave a shout out, instant messange me (sn: almost trying), email me (golden_peppers@hotmail.com) or tell me in person what you would describe my musical taste as.

Ozma, Badly Drawn Boy, Soul Coughing, Sublime, Saves The Day, Weezer, Ben Harper, Elliot Smith, Ben Kweller, Rage Against The Machine, The Faint, Jack Johnson, Ani DiFranco, The Weakerthans, Guster, Sublime, Ben Folds, Billy Joel, John Mayer, Phish, Rufus Wainwright, The Ataris, Alkaline Trio, Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Modest Mouse, The Streets, The White Stripes, Ben Folds, Bright Eyes, The Strokes, The Violent Femmes, The Venus in Furs

That's all I can think of for right now, although there are more, but there's something to get you started on. Help please?

Supergirl would like to remind you once mroe that the shout out button does, indeed, exist.
SHOUT OUTS! SCORESCORESCORESCORESCORESCORESCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Supergirl grins and points towards her LOVELY shout outs that were kinda unnecessarily difficult to achieve.
Alright, desperate times call for desperate measures. I think I may have fixed my problem of publishing not working--if not, i just fucked up my template for no reason. Yeah, I don't think I can use my old template anymore, because of difficulties with blogger SUCKING ASS. I think I may no longer have shout outs because I cant figure some shit out, and also the font now sucks. But hey, I'm still workin on it. Bear with me. So Ill just cross my fingers and press publish . . .

Supergirl crosses her fingers and presses publish . . . bet you didn't see THAT coming!

Thursday, August 07, 2003

This is getting ridiculous! I've been trying to publish this blasted blog ever since I've been home from camp. Seriously, blogger, WHAT'S UP WITH YOU? This is my fourth entry that you probably won't publish. Argh. But, anyway, I'll make it somewhat interesting, so in case it does publish, it's not just me bitching about bad service.

Ellen O'Meara and Glenna Mowry are two very splendid people. I spent the night at Ellen's, and had loads of fun. Give us digital cameras and we will never cease to be amused. After they both fell asleep I was up by myself for a while, but it was fun. I got in good quality talking time with Jesi, one of R's friends. He's a pretty cool kid with pretty cool hair. And I went to totse.com, which is just a pretty cool site. I learned many facts on marijuana. I never knew that hemp could be so useful! Seriously! That stuff is amazingly versatile. And did you know that--ha, wait. Go read it yourself. Go on. Scoot. Well, after you're done reading this ;)

So I might go to Big Falls today, but I'm not sure. Actually, I'm not sure why I'm not sure. I think I'm just too damn lazy to get into a swimsuit. Actually I'm not big on swimsuits in general, I hate exposing that much of my body to the general public. I always feel like I'm being judged by my body, and that's just really not cool with me.

Wanna hear something really sad????? So yesterday Ellen and I went to Freaky Friday at 7:05, and Glenna was going to be a little late but she was going to meet us in the theatre. So she didn't come sit with us the entire movie, and we thought she had just sat somewhere else. So after the movie we're looking all over the theater for her, and we can't find her. So we call her mother, who tells us she definitely came to the movie. We become concerned, and didn't know quite what to do, but Ellen's mom was outside, so we went out to her car. Suddenly we see Glenna standing by the side of the theatre, outside. It turns out she was a quarter short on admission, and they wouldn't let her in--they wouldn't even escort her in to find us so we could give her a quarter. She had to stand outside of the theatre the entire movie. 2 hours. I was appalled. Yeah.

I don't care if you really care as long as you don't go. So, I cry, I pray and I beg--love me love, say that you love me, fool me fool me, go on and fool me, love me love me, pretend that you love me, leave me, leave me, just say that you need me.

Oh, my good music bubble has burst--Courtney has come back from her UDA camp with some horrendous thirst for pop music . . .bleargh . . . I'm too lazy to move to my dad's office, so I'm just staying in here and bearing it. I jus had to endure "cry me a river", and this song . . . I really don't know who it is, but as far as I know it's just sort of female pop music, which all sounds the same.

Urban Outfitters, what an amazing store.

I'm sneezing! I think it might be because of ellen's dog. Hmmm. But I'm okay, really. I'm used to being sniffly. Happens a lot. I LOVE BADLY DRAWN BOY! Ahhhh the song 40 days, 40 fights just makes me happy. Yay. Though I can't even recall your name--something beautiful about it though. **rocks out** Score. Wait, no--score is only when you see some BOOBS, right Jesi? Heh heh heh.

I hope Jenny scoots her little but up so we can go do something. I dunno what, just something. Mannnn, get me outta here.

I think I should re-dye my hair. Redder. Darker. More vibrant. And then get DREADS! WOOHOO! I think that i'm going to get them this fall regardless of my mother. I mean, she won't be around to see them! I'm pretty much free to do whatever. Well, when I come back at thanksgiving she won't be too happy, but what's she gonna do about it? Seriously! Hehe, yay. You know what I've always wanted, since I was wee? Multicolored dreadlocks. Like, red ones, brown ones and blonde ones. All mixed up together. Woohoo! I should do it! I'm getting really pumped. But hey, I need the public opinion--should I go for the dreads? Leave a shout out with your vote.

I'm out for now :)

Supergirl looks at her hair eagerly.

So my blog won't publish. Sweet.

Monday, August 04, 2003

Sometimes I just look at one of my friends and am filled with envy at their maturity, radiance, beauty and wonder. Jaime Soper is sooooooo one of those people. Seriously, what an amazing human being. I wonder how she does it all--being a really good friend, a really good dancer, so artistic and kind and thoughtful . . . I mean, this girl sent letters to a ton of girls in my cabin at camp and they were all beautifully homemadely crafted. She's been talking lately of how a couple people don't really respect her--the only explanation i could possibly think of is jealousy. A person that awesome has to have a few jealous people that make up faults for her in their heads so they can feel even with her. Hmmph. Well, Jaime, you'll always have my love. Muah.

Badly Drawn Boy is such an awesome band. I now own two of their absolutely amazing cd's. And not only do they rock, but they're british! Score. One day I'll be British, and I'll be as cool as them. Maybe.

Well I think I might go eat something, and attempt calling my love jaime soper. Woopwoop. Aiight, later my darlings.

Supergirl curiously opens the refrigerator.
Wow! Long time no blog.

So quizilla's down right now. Weirdage. But my day's been too good for me to care. Seriously, es war ausgezeichnet. I habe SO viel gekauft. I went to the mall with the 100 dollars my Nanny sent me for my birthday, and i got an exciting pair of light pink and hot green kangaroo shoes (with the little zipper pouches!), a pretty ring, and 3 very good cd's--Punk Rock is Your Friend (sampler cd, from hot topic--yes i know they're owned by gap, yes i really don't like that, but the cd had ozma on it and i got excited. even if it's supporting gap, ozma just excites me too much.), The Battle of Los Angeles (Rage against the mahine) and Hey Did You Feed The Fish (Badly Drawn Boy). I then proceeded to Katelyn's house and I burned every cd of hers and natalie's that i've ever wanted. My cd collection has now far outgrown my case, it's ridiculous. I need a new cd case. Badly. Soon.

Here is a trick for you because i like you so much. Are you ready? Here it goes. This is my amazing bouncing comma! , ' , ' , ' , ' , Wow. What talent. And if that wasn't amazing enough, not only can this comma bounce, but it can swim! ~~'~~'~~'~~' Now you may make he argument that this is really a swimming apostrophe--an honest mistake, that a bright girl such as Jennifer Stone might make. But here's where the mistake is made: see, the apostrophe is really just the comma coming up for air. When it's underwater, the comma's really in it's good and proper place, no worries at all. But you just can't see it, cause it's swimming in a lake and not a pool. The water's dirtier there. See, were the water nicely clear and chlorinated, it might look something like this: ~,~'~,~'~,~'~,~' Tadaaaaaa.

Yeargh I'm tired. Hmmm, I wonder if R had fun at Warp Tour today. I hope so. I was kinda sad that I didn't talk to him all day, i miss seeing him soooooo much. Luckily we're gonna go to six flags together sometime soon. At least I'll see him then. Sweetness. And I know I'll talk to him soon. Still, I can't but wonder if warp tour lived up to the expectations. One can only hope.

So I lost my voicish. I can't really talk. It's actually pretty amusing listening to myself talk, I feel like I'm a completely different person. At least I have no important vocal activities soon. Wow, can you believe it's August? Brazil nuts sound good right now. Oooh, or maybe homemade caramels with pecans! Mmmmmmmmmmm. Hungry hungry hippos.

"My eggs, like Jesus, will rise again on this glorious Easter day!"

Man I love camp manitou. Haha, camp "emo-toe"! It started with malarky and ended with an anarchy and I'm just a poor emo kid with a broken toooooe . . . and I just don't wanna go hommmmmmmmmmmmmme! Haha "BPCL!" **claps avidly** **does the boner dance** "Life's a bitch and then you die, so fuck the world--LET'S GO BOWLING!" haha props to Connor on that one. Way to be, Lynch :) Ahhhh, manitou has such wonderful memories. "In the name of lurve! Oh man, I ran out of breast."

Oh my, Len, you still have my picture of R and Abbi. When you're done drawing her you need to run that by me sometime. Hell, we can just hang out for long amounts of time, I just love ya too much, Len. haha. Lenelle. I think Ellen suits you best though. What about me? Hmmm. Aurenella? Ren? Lauren Biz? Auren Liz? Aurenelle . . . i kinda like that one. So many choices for Lauren Elizabeth Scott. Lauren Liz. Renny. Laur. Laurella. Laurizabeth. Aurabeth. Aurabet. Laurabet. Laurenella is always a fun one. If my name was Laurenella, though, I'd constantly have urges to put on glass slippers. Laurenelly. Aurenelly. Renelle. Renella. Renelli. Lo Sco. Laurzabet. Aurelle. Aurella. Aurelli. Renny Biz. Renny Liz. Auren. Renellabet (haha). Aura. Laurzy. Laurzabeth. Rizabeth. Hmmmm, lots of possibilities! Vote for your favorite by SHOUTING OUT! Be productive and make me happy at the same time. Woop woop!

Well, i definitely need sleep. G'night, all.

Just in case I forget to say this later when Ellen's gone, she's a thrill to hang out with. I'm very proud to have stayed up till 5:35 with her. 5:36 actually. And hopefully later. She's in the . . . bathroom, i think? Either that or she's changing. I'm listening to a punk cover of I'll Stop The World and Melt With You. What a cute song, seriously. Punk covers just make me happy--especially ones of the spice girls' "wannabe" and the inspector gadget theme. Wow, I remember freshman year when ian and blake were obsessed with that inspector gadget song, and they played it on the piano on the auditorium stage at lunch--oh the good old eat-in-the-aud days, 'twas fun. Back when memorial actually had a theatre crowd.

Ellen likes the word blog.

Well, she's back so I'm over and out. I love y'all.

Supergirl points at the time and grins.

So I'm sitting here watching this heated argumentish thing spreading over the comment system in R's live journal, and i'm thinking, "man, people should be cool in my shout outs" cause nobody ever really shouts out . . . . except for a select few . . . . . so make me happy and shout out. and be interesting. I know it's possible, otherwise I wouldn't hang out with you people.

Speaking of hanging out with people, I've been remarkably antisocial the last couple of days. I think it's partly because of my newfond obsession to webcomics and partly because I don't clean my room like I'm supposed to. Although the first really leads into the second. Yes, I'll admit, Mac Hall and Megatokyo have me. Oy.

I finally saw Donnie Darko, what a kick ass movie! Woohoo. Oh, and my sister gave me two cd's--Soul Coughing's Irresistable Bliss and Clay Aiken's 2 song little cd thingy--the second one was more of a jokish thing, but she seriuosly gave me the perfect present. The cd's and a gorgeous new purse. God, I'm gonna miss my sister so much! She's so undeniably kick ass. Seriously, I would be only about an 8th as cool as I am now were it not for my sister. Muah to you, Courtney, if you're reading--I love you.

Small little angry moment of the day--so I sent R. a letter and in it I put a bracelet, but somehow the bracelet fell out in the process of sending the letter. So that got me down a bit, but I still had a pretty good day.

Well I have to get back to my obsessive reading of Mac Hall--but you are far from done on this blog, whoever's reading this. Ohhhhhh yes. See the little words "shout out"? Click em. And leave one. Oh my.

Supergirl eagerly slips back into Mac Hall mode.

So much has been happening lately--first things first, my birthday was yesterday. At the last minute I got a couple people together and we went to Noah's Ark for the day. It was sooooo amazingly fun, and we acted like dorks and laughed a lot, but I think I put on a little less sunscreen than I should have . . . aka I am the color of a lobster. They should serve me for dinner and i'd be the most expensive thing on the menu. I always felt sorry for those little lobsters, they just sorta bumbled around their tanks, oblivious to the fact that the people looking through the glass at them would soon be consuming them. And they never really have enough room to move about properly, they're always sort of climbing on top of each other and bumpbing into things. Sad.

So, for those of you who are not aware, I've hooked up with a guy I met at German camp. His name is R. (yes that's his real name) and he's just . . . amazing. Seriously. I've just connected with him in this surreal way, he's so much like me and yet endlessly interesting and fascinating. Unfortunately, however, he lives in Paw Paw MI. Suck butt, huh? But we're still making it work long distance. And I actually have confidence that it's going to work, because I like him so much that I can trust myself completely. And plus, it's not one of those really physical things, you know? I mean, I love just being with him, and touching him (get your mind out of the gutter) and hugging him and stuff, but it's not a necessity because it's sooooo personality based. That makes it way cool in my book.

Katelyn's birthday partyish was tonight. 'Twas a lot of fun, I hung out with people that I should really hang out with more. We played imaginiff, which is just a really cool game in general. Then we ate pizza and had ice cream cake, and watched how to lose a guy in 10 days. Good movie, good times. I love Katelyn so much, it's going to be weird without her next year. I gave her the Doubble Donkey Disc (Ozma, for those of you without good taste in music, hehe) which i eyed up lustily before deciding that getting myself a katelyn's birthday present would be less productive and nice than getting katelyn a katelyn's birthday present. But I did get myself a Faint cd (a faint cd? a the faint cd? how do you do that when there's a the in the band name?) which i am enjoying lots. R introduced me to them, and it's cool because they're not music that i'd normally find and listen to on my own. They're really interesting and different. Id reccommend this cd (Danse Macabre) to anyone interested in trying somethign new. 11.99 at best buy. woohoo.

Well I'm getting overheated and tired, so I think I'm out for the night. I love you all, muah.

Supergirl flops down on her bed and surrenders.

I'm sitting here in last night's clothes with a phone in my hand and elliot smith in my head. Despite how silly I feel at the moment, i'm having a really good day.

And good reason for it! Today is my last day of fourteen. It seems like fourteen has stretched on forever and I've grown above it--I mean, honestly, I feel far beyond fourteen. I feel far beyond fifteen too. I always forget how young I am, and then I remember and it surprises me. This whole last year has held so much in it, can time really move this slowly? I mean, years hold so many things so remarkably well . . . . i wonder if i get cake.

Ahhhh, I feel much more acceptable now. I bathed and redressed. I just need to put on some ozma to jump-start my energy . . . turtleneck coverup, now there's a good song :)

Soooo, a bit of news . . . I broke up with Connor a couple days ago, for those of you who have not come across this information yet. If you're totally in the dark and confused still, talk to me sometime. I'm too lazy to explain.

I think the bottoms of my feet are officially dead.

I like pirates. Arrrrrrrrr! I wish I could be as cool as R. and have a piratey name. I mean, who the hell names a pirate Lauren?

My birthday is tomorrow! Fifteen! Cake! I like cake. Hmmm. Well, I don't have much to say . . . I love you all.

Supergirl misses R.

Sunday, July 13, 2003

Woooo! I'm back! So much has happened . . . so soooooo much. It's kinda weird, but I think I really changed at camp. Isn't it funny how little experiences like that can change you? I miss my people sooooo much, especially R. and the fantastic stuttgart five. And Dieter and Ludo and Abbi and . . . . I need to stop. My blog seems so out of date when I look back on these recent entries now . . . weirdness.

So Waldsee (concordia german camp) was one of the most amazing times of my life. I miss everything about it so much already . . . yesterday I cried a billion times, and i did once today too. I'm such a sappy person, it's really silly. Today I got both of my rolls of film developed and I'm like in love with them. I can't wait to go back next year! Woohoo! And there are some chances for me to see my friends still--Jewa only lives like an hour away, Gitta lives in Chicago like my grandparents, and R. only lives 3 hours way from interlochen. Well I'm sure that everyone reading this who was not at Waldsee would get reallllllly sick of hearing about it if I said all that I want to, so I should shut up.

Well, I *should*, but will I? Probably not. Well, maybe. My god, soul coughing is just an awesome band . . . I've been listening to them for ages, and their stuff just makes you want to . . . be. It's so funky and mellow and easy to get into. I almost bought a cd today, but I couldn't decide which . . . I ended up just sort of looking at the cd's and giving up, because I can't make decisions. At all. I'm one of those people who's always sitting there at the table when we're out to eat, hurriedly deciding what i want to order like my life depends on it as everybody else orders straight away. Making decisions is definitely not my strong point . . . especially really important ones.

Right now I'm reading the blog (well, technically live journal, but everything's a blog to me) of someone I met at camp, and it's really cool because i'm reading back really far and seeing their life take shape . . . that's what I love about blogs. You can see progress, you can see lives mold into the shape they are now, and you can tell what experiences have made people themselves. I love seeing the blogs and buddy infos of all my Waldsee friends because we're all in post-camp depression, wishing we were still back there, although reveling in the fact that it was so amazing. I still can't believe I'm not there anymore . . . I miss all of my Waldsee friends so much. I feel like they're my home, like they're who i'm meant to be with. Must . . . move . . . . on . . . ! Eeeeep.

Oh Jaime Soper, call me you silly girl! You must come over so we can be girls tonight.

So there's this knick in the paint on the door frame of this room that looks like a huge ass bug, and every single time I fall for it and get slightly subconsciously freaked out. And I see this thing like every day, you'd think I'd have wisened up by now.

So did I tell you I'm a bad person? Cause I am. I really am. Ohhhhh, but I'm not really such a bad person, I just can't time things right, or live in the right place, or anything.

I think I'm really sensitive to smells. I miss the way people smell, the way things smell . . . smells can bring back the most intense memories so quickly. THe word smell is a really ugly word. I'm going to stop using it now.

I hate it when I actually do make a decision for once, and it's clear cut, but there's something in the way. Advanced planning is not good in some situations . . . it can put you between a rock and a hard place. I really like that expression :)

Two amazing songs I'm listening to: Falling (Ben Kweller) and In The Lost And Found (Elliot Smith)

I'm in the mood to listen to some sadcore emo. I'm just in that kind of a funk. Raimbow leg warmers are surprisingliy not helping, although they did this afternoon. I think I need my Jaime here to snuggle with. Snuggling withdrawal really isn't good. A person needs at least 12 hugs a day. Today I've gotten . . . . none. Wow. Actually, wait, just kidding! I've gotten two! Nay, three! One from Courtney, one from Jenny and one from Hrudka. Sweet. Just need 9 more . . . hmmmmmmm.

Another good song to get me in a better mood--Bubble Toes (Jack Johnson). You know, I really wish I could go to that phish concert on my birthday . . . . it's too bad it's sold out and fucking expensive to get tickets off of ebay or anything. Sadness.

It's as simple as something that nobody knows that her eyes are as big as her bubbly toes . . .

Good bread, good cheese, good raspberries . . . . guess what . . . . I like to eat! Oh my! I think I've seriously gained weight in the last two weeks. I thought I was getting skinnier while I was at Waldsee, but . . . well you know what? I think it's from the last couple days. I've eaten SO much, nonstop, and haven't really moved around a lot. Man, not cool. I looked downright chunky today. Well, at least I'm relatively skinny. And it's no big deal anyway--what the hell does it matter? There's only one person who I care about what they think about my physicality, and I'm sure he doesn't mind flab. It's natural.

Jaime doll, it's time to call.

Man, I rhyme so well . . . must be why I'm going off to a shcool for creative writing. Jussssssst kidding. I hate rhymes in poems and literature. They sound cheesey. I don't like that, I like raw power, I like breathing words. Rhymes lie flat and speak in forced language. Real words flow, real words bite and seduce.

So stumble down the stairs again, pretend you're not too proud to understand and still know when your voice comes through the crowd, that lonely people talk too loud. Numbers on a washroom stall, there's always more than one last call calling you. We've got blue eyes, we've got green eyes, we've got gray eyes.

The weakerthans lyrics never cease to amaze me. Seeing them live would be magical.

Wait for the year to drown. Spring forward, fall back down. I'm trying not to wonder where you are. All this time lingers, undefined. Someone say who's left and who's leaving . . .

Ooooh, Jaime called . . . . oh no, she's disabled from sleeping over. That's especially sad because I could be at a movie right now with Sarah Miller my darling. But I guess tonight I'll sit at home like the loser that I am and think about my feelings. I'm trying to find a song that says what I want to say right now, but I can't, and if I did, I'd have to keep it mostly to myself because I'm a bad person. Arrrrrgh, I'm growing impatient about things. I have too much time on my hands to sit and think.

Good lord do I love Ozma! The song Apple Trees is irreparably cute.

Deep inside my eye there is part of you. You still look the same except your grown up now. So much time has passed, since I saw last, oh. An apple pie, the number pi, i studied you in math class, and did all my work, but never got your digits. Take a number like 5, times 10, times 10 again, 500 miles of apple orchards to defend.

Every time I think I know that band's best song, I realize that another one of their songs is of equal or more amazingness and change my mind. It never ends.

I like big eyes.

My god, that was the most delicious raspberry I've had in ages. Yum.

Oh, all the wrong things make me happy. Hrmph. This has been a weird last couple days. I have about 6 raspberry seeds stuck in my teeth. Speaking of teeth, dentist tomorrow! Ahhhhhh! Usually this would not be quite as scary if it were merely a check up of sorts, but noooooo, I have to have cavities drilled. Ubernotcool.

So I was thinking about straight edgeness, cause i met a straight edge boy at camp, and I looked up straight edge quizzes on quizilla. My results?

You don't Care
Your good peoples.

Are you Straight Edge?

Woohoo. I like this one because i'm not too strenuous in either direction.

Wow, this is a really long blog! I think I'm gonna publish this and revel in its awesomeness. Hellll yeah.

Peace out, says Sarafina. (deutsch name. personally i like it better than lauren. lauren's too boring)

Just Married is the CUTEST most WONDERFUL romantic comedy I've seen in ages. I mean, Ashton Kutcher is soooooo wonderful in that movie . .. not how he treats her in the middle, but that part at the end . . . ahhhhh! Just makes me giggle inside at the wonderfulness. Romantic comedies are mmmmmmmmm.

Dude, so now that I'm calmed down about the whole thing . . . I spent two hours writing this really awesome post about everythign that I thought about the new Harry POtter book. It was massive! It was phenomenal! I felt so amazing when I had finished writing it! And then Blogger ate it, as it loves to do with posts. Does blogger hate me? Does it think I'm funny looking? Does it not care for my writing? I wonder if it would be easy to switch to another bloglike service. But then again, I'd lose my layout that I've grown very fond of, and alllll of my posts. And that's a lot. I should count them! Just for fun. Hmmmmmm. Wonder how many there would be . . . : D

WOOHOO! I am soooooo good. I just figured it out (not by counting but by playing around with how many posts i can have on my page. This will be my 165th post! Woohoo! Go me. 165 seems big in ways, but actually kinda small. Like, I've only had 165 blocks of thought in almost the past year? Hmmm. Well, still. Wooyay.

So I think Connor's gone on a trip with his family. That's cool and all, but seeing as I'm not going to be here when he's back until the 12th, I really would have appreciated him saying goodbye. We were gonna hang out yesterday, but he didn't call . . . I tried calling him, then, but he wasn't home. Jaime and I walked by his house out of boredom and nobody appeared to be there. Having a boyfriend is more stressful than you'd think. I'll write to him or something from camp. Least I can do is stay in touch.

German camp . . . two weeks of speaking german . . . . kinda scares me! I mean, I'm going all alone. Nobody I know, at all. That's even less than Interlochen. I kinda wish it was only one week, 'cause I hate being away from people so long when I only have so much time left to spend with them. Scary.

Hmmmm, I'm going to figure out how many days I have left in Eau Claire . . .

65 days. Minus approximately 19 days of camp. That's 46 days of me actually *in* Eau Claire to work with. Scary.

Speaking of people in Eau Claire, Ryan Day stopped by to see me! It made me soooooo happy. I miss him oh so very much. One day when he's in Eau Claire I am going to casually chain his leg to a post so he can't get away.

Gotta get ready to go see Barnum. Good luck Jenny! (and Rachel and Suzie of course)

Supergirl schlumps herself off the computer chair.
TWO FUCKING POSTS IN A ROW! Blogger is eating my posts like candy.

Blogger can eat my nuts.

I think maybe I should switch servers.

Thursday, June 26, 2003

I'm not terribly fond of this new Blogger thing. I was rather partial to the last template . . . oh well, just a bit getting used to. Anyway, after that long and TERRIBLY annoying delay, I can finally post! I'm back from camp as of tuesday. Arrgh, I've had so many things to say, but now that I can say them I can't remember a thing. And I'm actually pretty tired . . . but I should probably get to bed. Camp was fun, yada yada, g'night, I love you all.

Supergirl enjoys her own mattress.

Friday, June 20, 2003

Hmmmm, today is going to be a lot of effort.

Harry Potter comes out at midnight! And I was going to be free and easy getting it at Borders in Eau Claire where I have a copy reserved, buttttttt it turns out my mom wants to get a head start on our drive for State Honors Choir Camp, so I'm going to be in Wausau tonight. and---

Uh oh! It's time to leave. Eep! I'll be back the 24th probably around 5 or 6ish. Leave me lovely shout outs, muah!

Supergirl picks up her suitcase and runs out the door.

Tuesday, June 17, 2003

HAHAHA

this is my mother:

"Lauren, tell me the truth--ARE YOU SCREWING CONNOR? TELL ME THE TRUTH!"

Ahhhahahahahahaha . . . this is after she found some condoms I got from the pinata at the glass picnic for fun so I could blow them up. Reminds me a bit of the, "Lauren . . . is your sister a drug dealer?" "What?!? NO!" "TELL ME THE TRUTH!"

I think she just really likes yelling "tell me the truth". That's probably it.

Ha. Haha. Still feel shitty though. And on top of this I have cramps like no other. Yuck. I need some advil or something.

Supergirl winces.
This day is hell.

Yuck. Someone make it better.
Today was a good day. Hung out with some of my favorite people. Wooyay, in the words of Graham. Saw Connor again, and probably tomorrow. We plan to go to the cliffs! Yay. Then on Wednesday I go to the mall of America. Excitement indeed!

I have mosquito bites all over. I officially itch.

So I'm fascinated with the credits at the end of movies. I mean, all those names that scroll by are lives, all these stories that are just waiting to be told. How amazing is that? So I realized today, I should use movie credits to give me ideas for stories. To give me names. I watched the movie two week's notice tonight, and afterwards I grabbed a notebook and looked for interesting names. A couple of the names came to me perfectly, a couple others I made out two different names put together, putting last names as first names and vice nersa and seeing what I could create. Here's what I came up with:

Kimberly Noble
Kenton Jakub
Raiston Hughes
Bridget Violante
Kevin Cahil
Owen Ashley
Kover Schorr
Gweneviere Paul
Guy Cerelli
Fennimore Maine

Interesting names, huh? I thought so.

Supergirl dreams up a story.

Happy father's day!

The dance recital yesterday went soooooo well! I only made one mistake, and that was just forgetting one turn in the can can. I think I did really well otherwise! It was a lot of fun too, hanging out with my girls and watching the other dances. I can't believe I'm not going to be dancing next year! That's soooo sad. I love it so much, it's really hard to give up. But oh well, life goes on, and I'm going on to greater things.

The day before the recital . . . two days ago . . . I went to the glass picnic. It was actually really fun, and I met some really cool new people. Afterwards I went over to Issa's house with a bunch of people from there and we watched velvet goldmine. Then we went to the playground and played around a bit. Fun? Yes indeed.

I finally saw Connor last night! That really topped off my day quite nicely, as I never really seem to see him much anymore. Just being with him makes me positively glow.

I haven't listened to this song in a while--it's really good. Tip the Scale, by Pop Unknown. I can't even put into words how powerful music can be . . . what words and actions cannot convey, music seems to capture perfectly
it's the perfect mix of action, words and sound that plays with your ears and slips into your brain and does . . . something . . . that's just amazing.

Supergirl stretches and hopes to wake up.

I wanna make a motion
To stop the commotion
I second the motion
To stop the Commotion
I've got another notion
It's a backwards emotion
I've got a notion
Back-back-back-back-backwards motion

I had a really weird dream last night, and I can actually remember it. Connor and I got in a fight because he said he liked sara haapala and i got really pissed off at him, but then we ended up making up. Speaking of Connor, I haven't seen him since tuesday. Hmmph. Well, at least that was the general idea of my dream; a lot more happened. Dreams are so interesting when you think about them--they're just these litle stories that you make up when you can't consciously do anything. How weird is that?

Suzanna slept over last night, which was soooo awesome because I love her dearly and I've missed her so. She's doing well, which is exciting because a while ago she was doing less well and that was not as good.

Dance recital tomorrow! Woohoooo! I'm pumped. You all must come. See the catwoman post for more details.

Well, I'm going to head out now, maybe I'll miraculously find something to do. Huh.

Thursday, June 12, 2003

SUZANNA'S HERE!

Oh my god!

She's coming over right now. How I missed her . . .
Catwoman
*Meow* Yes Your'e Catwoman!! Although technically
not a superhero, you are still a pretty foxxy
kitty cat. You have great respect for your only
friends, your cats. Don't be suprised if some
people might think your'e evil, you are! But
always remember to correct them: "No I'm a
DAMN SEXY evil doer! And Don't forget it!"
If they are still in doubt of your sexy nature
show them that skintight leather suit.

What Superhero/heroine are You? (With Pics!!)
brought to you by Quizilla

I thought Spiderman was great . . . Catwoman is my fucking role model. I mean, she's awesome! Evil, sexy, slinky . . . mreow! I feel like Catwoman when I wear my black cat costume for dance . . . haha, I should make myself cat ears. I'd rock.

Speaking of dance--recital on Saturday! Please go see me because I love you all, and who know--I might not see you for the rest of the summer and then you wouldn't see me for ages, and what fun is that? Anyway, it's 3 dollars, general seating at the State theatre. There are two recitals that I'm in, but I'm in more dances and *better* dances at the one Saturday 1:00. There's also Saturday 6:00, but blech. Don't like that one.

Anyway, I'm gonna get going, maybe crash on the couch, probably hang with allison black later tonight, who I LOVE! Hee hee. ^_^ I'm silly.

Supergirl is over and out.
I ROCK!

spiderman
You are SPIDERMAN! you never asked to be a
superhero, but now that you are all you care
about is keeping it a secret and trying not to
scare away your family and friends.

Ohhhhh, today got infinitely better. I found my purse, even though it was out in the rain, so it's drying out in my kitchen while its contents are chilling in a makeshift purse. My teeth . . . well they haven't really stopped hurting yet, which kinda baffles me because I just got them cleaned. Minneapolis was amazingly fun! I love the mall of america, and Jenny and Suzie annnnnd . . . sure, Ben. Sometime's we're sort of neck to neck, but in the end I love him anyway. I got an amazingly awesome skirt at Rampage, only the coolest store of all time, and ate delectable mini donuts and orgasmic tortillas. I got in a good nap on the way home, although when I was done I was groggy as hell and had that funny sleepy taste in my mouth. Actually, my mouth didn't really recover from that. I had a mint later, which was good, but then kool aid tasted salty after that, which was disgusting. And then I kissed Connor, and my mouth was happy again. Sort of a rollercoaster of a day for it. It wakes up being happyish, then is sad at the dentists, then happy because of yummy donuts and tortillas, then sad because of sleep, then happy because of mints, sad because of kool-aid, and happy because of Connor. So at least my mouth had an interesting day. Annnnyway . . . So when I got home from Minneapolis I just sorta trudged inside and schlumped down in front of the computer to see if anything was happening. Well, nothing was, so I decided to bike around and see what was going on. I ended up watching "The Mexican" at Connor's house with Anna, Anthony, and sometimes Ryan Ingersoll. It was a fairly decent movie, although we didn't end up finishing it, and afterwards Connor walked me home, and here I am, 8 petite quisches later, coughing up a storm and listening to Sublime.

And that's the story of my life! Well, at least one day of it. And that's leaving out the details. And there were a lot of those, believe me.

Ahhhhh, sometimes I'm such a bad person.

I'm kinda tired, I think perhaps it is time for bed.

RAR!

Today sucks my penis bigtime. So what if I don't have one. So far I've woken up early, lost my purse, gone to the dentist, got stuck in traffic for a LONG time, and found out Connor can't go. If there is a God, which I highly doubt, IT'S FUCKING INSANE.

If this trip isn't AMAZING, I will just sit down and give up. Today I definitely lose. And I don't even think I have any money . . . GRRRRRRRRRR.

I need a hug.
Oh, one extra note.

I LOVE IT WHEN YOU SHOUT OUT!

muah liz and jaime, you rock. everyone else needs some work in that department ;)
So I was talking about the dentist with Katie when I remembered a really scary trip to the dentist when I was little. My nose was stuffy so I couldn't breathe through it, and my dentist was making it so i couldn't use my mouth. I started freaking out, telling him to stop it and crying and shit, but he wouldn't, he just yelled at me and told me to shut up . . . talk about traumatic. My mom yelled at him and never took me there again. **shudders** I have a dentist appointment tomorrow. Yucky.

But the rest of tomorrow is going to ROCK! Jenny, Ben, Suzy and Connor and I are all going to the mall of America and then to Don Pablo's for dinner. I'm pumped. It's totally gonna lift me up from what's gonna be a shitty experience at the Dentist fo sho.

Ahhhh, I had such a good day today. There was some hang outage, then some dance-age, then more hang outage. Definitely awesome. I finally saw the elusive Connor, who it turns out was in Madison.

Hahahaha, my typo of the day:

almost trying: I HAVE NOSES

Trying to say I hate noses. Didn't really work. Cough. Yeah, so I might be sick. Or else I have allergies. I feel bad cause I'm probably spreading myself to Connor. I really enjoy listening to soul coughing. They're mellow and funky, perfect for summer. Mmmmm.

Well, I'm gonna go, maybe get some sleep so I can wake up in time for the dentist tomorrow. Peace out.

Oh, I do so enjoy jazz music. As in oldtime jazz. My mom has the radio on it, and I feel like I'm back in the 20's in a smokey nightclub sitting on the piano in a slinky shapeless dress, tapping my feet in the air and holding a martini, gazing back at the piano player as I sing, a slight smile resting on my face. Ahhhh, that's the life. Sometimes I feel I should have lived in the 20's, minus the decades around it. It would be really fun to live one year in the 20's, one in the 60's, one in the 70's, and one in the 80's. Just a little bit different and interesting to see how things have changed, and to be able to live in a completely different style. Or have like one day of Renessaince (I couldn't handle a week, much less a year!) where I could wear a pretty dress and speak in old english. Funnnn.

I want to be British, too. I think maybe someday I shall. I'll find a way.

I found out that the wonderful roll of pictures I just took was in black and white film and I didn't know that . . . it kinda sucks, because I really wanted color pictures and I took the type of pictures that color is fun in, not the artsy schmartsy pictures. You know? Arrgh. Well, I think I might head over to Natalie's, so . . .

peace.
Ahhhhh, Liz and Jaime are the most adorable, fun girls in the world. Last night was one of the funniest nights of my life. I don't think I've ever been whacked in the face by a rack of topper stix before. Come to think of it, I think I just ate those ones . . . that's vaguely disgusting. I'm thirsty.

So Jenny is always at Barnum and Connor is God knows where, but on the brighter side Suzanna is coming! I can't exactly remember when, I think sometime this week, but sheeeeeee's a-comin'. I'm so amazingly excited for her return, you have no idea! I love her so much.

So Ben Bonis called me yesterday! I felt sooooo cool. He had to endure girl talk, though, cause Liz and Jaime were over, so it was a lot of weirdness. He's such a great boy though. I shall miss him a lot.

86 days until I leave for Interlochen! That's only 86 more opportunities to hang out with me, getting lower every day. Actually, less than that, 'cause I'll be gone a lot. Oh, for those of you who like to know, this is my summer schedule:

June . . . . wait a second! Is that really when State Honors choir camp is? No way! Hold on. I'm so confused. Wait, am I in the treble choir or the mixed choir? Arrrrrrgh! Well, I'm either gone June 21-24 or June 25-28.

Annnnyway . . .

June 21-4 or 25-8: State Honors Choir camp
June 30-July 12: Concordia (German Camp)
July 27-August 2: Manitou

and then I might be hangin with my nanny and my cousin for a week sometime after that. But otherwise, that's pretty much my summer.

Which, by the way, has been less than exciting. Although certain times have been really fun, I don't think I've done anything so far besides Wednesday night that really lived up to Summer. Okay, well, maybe last night. Welllllll . . . maybe a few other times too. Okay, hell, it's summer. Yay.

My spoon is too big . . . I am a banana! Ahhhahahaha if you haven't seen that yet, see it here:

http://www.noctem.org/rejected.html

Sooooooooo amazingly funny. Haha. Yaaaaaay!

I've decided that I really like not wearing a bra. I feel free. Anyway, I think I'm gonna go take a bath because I'm pretty gross after dance. I'll check y'all later . . . .

DON'T FORGET TO SHOUT OUT!

Saturday, June 07, 2003

I think I've just realized something.

I really enjoy making other people happy. Okay, so that's not much of an epiphany, but I just realized that even though I haven't exactly been doign much for myself the past couple days, I've been helping other people be slightly happier and making things just a bit easier for them, and I feel completely wonderful. I mean, we're not talking food shelter sort of help here, I'm just talking about silly little stuff, but could this be a career key for me? I could write psychological self-worth books, advice columns, best-selling relationship manuals . . . yay! I'm already excited! I should help people more often.

See, I love being the mediator, and I love making fighting stop and making people content. I think even if I'm not the happiest person myself, I can be happy through others. Maybe it's my way of making up for what I'm missing. Although I'm perfectly content right now and don't really need to live vicariously. It's like when I watch chick flicks--the cute little endings make me feel good, like theyr'e MY cute little endings and then I'm happy.

Good mood. :)

WHAT A MOVIE. Oh my god. Vanilla Sky is fucking amazing.

I really like Alice in Wonderland--what an amazingly fucked up movie to be showing little kids! I'm taking quizzes about it on quizilla. The results?

You are the Caterpillar!
You are The Catepillar!

Which Alice In Wonderland Character Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

I don't feel too well. I should sleep.

Tuesday, June 03, 2003

Everybody is sad, or heartbroken, or confused, or in pursuit of something they feel they can never get. I feel like the only one around me without a crisis.

I love listening, and helping, but sometimes being a mediator of sorts can be very overwhelming.

But, if you need advice or help, I'm here with open ears. In case you didn't know and are in need. I love helping people with their problems.

Don't forget to SHOUT OUT!"
One more day of memorial high school . . . I can't quite believe I'm leaving. I always thought I'd have 4 years here, and it's closing off so quickly that I'm left here with my hand still outreached. I knoe Interlochen will be amazing, but it still can't stop me from missing whah I have.

Summer is finally officially here. My pool is open, school is ending, and my world is just beginning. The freedom of summer is really when we're all who we realllly are. No holds barred, no schedules and hurries, no obligations or deadlines or goals--just life. And isn't that humanity in the raw? Well, of those involved in the education business anyway. I pity those who work in the summer. I just can't tear myself away from the sun and the grass and the feeling of exposing my body to then sun and feeling the earth beneath my toes. bare shoulders make me feel alive and kicking. Sunburns, however, make me want to cry. Oooh . . . a few safety pins removed and there's no strap rubbing against my neck. Nice.

Ouch.

Well I'm going to go study so I can hang with my wonderful Becca tonight . . . seeya.

Monday, June 02, 2003

Wow am I sunburnt!

I got my dance pictures back today and they're REALLY cool. I'm totally happy wiht how they turned out. Sunless tanner, on the other hand, completely sucks my dick. Oh, and my parents think that I look like a dominatrix in my jazz costume. Ha. Double ha.

I'M GOING TO MISS MEMORIAL SO MUCH! The last couple days I've been rather sad and sniffly--I cried quite a bit at graduation. Dinner smells realllly good . . . hmmm, I'm going to go eat. I'll probably post later.

SHOOOOOOOUT OUUUUUUUUUT!

Sunday, June 01, 2003

Graduation today . . . lonnnnnnng periods of singing and sitting and watching and BORING. But I get to see my sister, so all is well. :)

HEY! YOU SHOULD LEAVE SHOUT OUTS! YES YOU! Not just now, but all the time! Shout out, shout out, shout out! I enjoy getting them . . . a lot . . . shout out.

Yepppp . . .

Yeah . . .

(shout out)

Friday, May 30, 2003

Hey!

Listening to some weakerthans, eating mini marshmallows. Mmmm. Kaia's coming over soon, after her pom squad pictures and shit. Improv show tonight! Score! I think this weekend might be a good one. Kaia's here! She's all cute from poms squad pictures. I'm listening to soul coughing, which is just awesome music. Yay. I love the beats in this song . . . in all thier songs.

Well, I think I'm done. Later.

MY NEW COLORS ROCK!

Go me. :)
This computer is so slow . . . I'm in study hall right now taking political quizzes on quizilla and making my blog prettier. Realllll ybored. I have no idea when this class gets out. Probably soon, we've been in it forever. I really hope 7th hour doesn't go really long, because I absolutely despise that class. It is SO boring, and all the people in it are boring and/or inept except for Brianna and a couple others. I want to shoot myself all hour.

Well I think I'm going to work on my blog template now, maybe spruce it up a little bit. Seeya.

Wednesday, May 28, 2003

I had a most amazing evening . . .
Woohoooooooooo, study hall time! I'm chillin' here with a very interesting english class-we've got issa, frank, didi, boner, brianna, and lots of other cool people. No fair. My english class sucks monkey balls. Woohoo, Issa's blogging right next to me . . . double blog! Gasp.

I feel cute today.

My legs have been itching all day--what's with that? Well at least it's a good day today, I'm going to hang with connor today after school, this time i think it will actually happen instead of . . . not happening. Ha. I really can't read Issa's hand writing.

Always fouuy raar pretty akewel in the reeve up equality!

That's what her last line looked like to me. Wow. Apparently not.

MY APBIO BIO PAPER KICKS ASS! I got a bit carried away and wrote a lot of paragraphs instead of two . . . it's exciting, though! I'm so motivated today! Go me! Seriously, I have this really wonderful take-charge academic attitude. In some ways, at least. I'm going for the B in precalc instead of the A--I'd have to get 96 percent on the final to get an A. Not gonna happen. So now all I need is 6 percent! And in one of my hardest classes! One less final I need to study for. Yay! Hehe.

Ooooh! I figured out my schedule for interlochen, i sent it in today. Here it is:

Semester one:

1.playwriting
2.intro to fiction
3.writing workshop
4.lunch!
5.choir
6.american political process
7.free hour!
8.apcalc
9.chemistry

Semester Two:

1.free hour!
2.writer in residence; stone soup
3.writing workshop
4.lunch
5.choir
6.intro to poetry
7.free hour!
8.apcalc
9.chemistry

Soooooo exciting! Ahhh! Yay! I'm really pumped about next year . . . though I'm really sad about having to leave some people. Sniff. Not cool. But it's going to completely reshape my life--I'm pumped. Wow.

aHHH! Bell.

Sunday, May 25, 2003

Connor and I are official!

Whew. I've been waiting for something to happen like that so I could write about this publicly for a long time. Yeah, tonight we finally talked about our little thing, and we decided to make it official. Wow. The best night ever.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm.

I think I'm going to go think about it some more and be happy. Ha.
I like life.

**smiles**

Friday, May 23, 2003

Wow, I just sneezed way too many times. Craziness. I think I might have a cold, or allergies. Hmmmm. My crazyweird picture with the pile of women made up with Weakerthans pictures is well on its way to being finished--I'm excited to see it when it's all done. And it just started with one woman, lying on the ground .. . now there are **counts** sixteen. And room for more. Woohoo! My pencil's really dull, though, and i don't know if there's a pencil sharpener in here. Hmmmmm. Wow, that's a crazy pencil sharpener; when you use it, it sounds like it's going to eat you.

I don't really have much to say and there are only about 10 minutes left, all of which I believe I'll spend drawing, so I'm over and out.

Later.

Thursday, May 22, 2003

Today's been a slightly exciting day. All morning all of the juniors were at some assembly or something so that took some work off my back in precalc. In English I just sat there and read my book cause I haven't yet, so I got outta working in that class too. Choir we just watched ourselves in the pops concert. Now study hall--nice. Only two classes I've had to work in today were APBio and German. And all classes were shorter . . . okay, by five minutes, but still.

It's REALLY COLD.

Lunch was kinda fun--it sucked though cause we couldn't find a restaurant that wasn't packed, so we ended up eating in the "K Cafe" or whatever that sad excuse for a restaurant is in K-Mart. At least it was spent in good company.

So the pops concert last night was actually really fun! I didn't have to do much, and I basically just spent a lot of time hanging out with my friends. Mr. Weishaar came back--I miss him sooo much! He's such a cool guy. He has a girlfriend now though, she's nassssty. Eww. And really young too! She's like 20. Weird. When we sang River in Judea, I got really sad and started crying. Partly it was because the year is almost over and it's been so good, but mostly because I'm going to leave next year. I feel kind of like I'm going off to college. Basically that's what it is--going to college at age 15. Scary. And since I'm not a senior but I'm leaving, I sort of felt like that was my graduation. It was sad. I gave a lot of hugs. And going to Perkins afterwards was sooooo much fun! I was in the weirdest mood, and I just had FUN. Woohoo!

I'm gonna hang out with Connor after school today. That should be really cool. I'm excited. I need to find a way to get the message to my mother, though, cause she'll freak if I just don't come home. Ewww, piano and voice lessons tonight. Not fun. I haven't practiced piano in sooo long. Well I have, but not the piano that I'm supposed to be practicing. Come to think of it, I don't think I've gone to piano lessons in about a month. Oops.

I'm so COLD! I think they think it's warm or something so they have on the air conditioning. Whatever they're doing, I really wish they'd stop. The school is absolutely freezing. I'll have to wash my really dirty Ozma sweatshirt tonight so I can wear it to school tomorrow.

I'm really sad that I lost my ramones sweatshirt! Grrr! I wish I'd have remembered to ask about it at dance right after it happened. Which reminds me--no dance this weekend! Score! Oh, whoah, and it's a three day weekend! I completely forgot about that! Oh wow, I'm so excited. Hmmm, this week has gone by SO slowly. It seems like it's lasted an eternity. I can't wait until the weekend, when I can do more things with people.

I have the taste of bad pizza in my mouth. Hmmmm. I need something yummier. If we had been speedy I'd have a cookie from Connor, but alas we weren't. Hmmmmmmmm. What to eat? Or the question is rather, what do I have that's edible? Not much.

Ahhh, this is great! I'm seated in the library right next to this shelf and I look over and there are all these books on suicide and drugs. It's within my arm reach, so right now the read of the minute is: Drugs and Your Parents, by Rhoda McFarland. Hahahahahaha, on the very front page there is a picture of a 30-some guy snorting cocaine and his son standing in the background--the caption reads, "it is lonely being the child of a chemically dependent parent." I'm not quite sure why that's funny, but it is. Ha. Oh, this one's even better It has a picture of a mother scolding her son and it says, "You never know what to expect when a parent is out of control on drugs." Hahahahaha . . . that's great. The title of this one is called "We Have Aids"! Hee hee.

Uh oh, time to fly . . .

Wednesday, May 21, 2003

Wow, I actually just spent most of my hour--my free study hall hour--on WISCareers looking up careers and colleges. For fun. I'm so weird sometimes.

My lunch today was super healthy! I felt good eating it. It was a thing of apples and dip, fat free yogurt and apple juice! Woohoo! Usually I eat sooooo badly. It's kinda sad. One day I'm gonna have a heart attack from clogged arteries and just keel over! Ahh!

So today is an awesome day. I still can't believe it's only Wednesday! Last weekend seems ages ago. I have the rubber ducky song stuck in my head! Haha. Rubber ducky i'm awwwwfully fonnnnd of youuuuuuuuuuuuu! Hee. Fun stuff.

The word denotation sounds really mean.

Hmmm, even after my lunch I'm hungry. I think I have an eternally insatiable appetite. That's a lot of vowels. I have the hiccups. So I look like I'm convulsing when I hiccup . . haha. There, I drank some apple juice, maybe they'll go away.

WOW it's cold in this school!

I can't wait for school to be over. Tonight should be pretty fun, with the pops concert and whatnot. I mean, I guess it's just a nce little excuse for me to eat pie. ^_^ Yum! Pie and bratwurst sounds really godo right now. Is there going to be any bratwurst? I sure hope there is, because it sounds quite delicious at the moment. Mmmmm, bratwurst.

I remember in middle school when Becca Seipel and I had codes for different boys, they were all different types of food. For instance, Adam Wagner was root beer because A & W were his initials. Middle school is really funny now that I look back on it. High school can so kick its butt.

Wow, I've changed so much in the past two years! Flashback to the end of eighth grade: me wearing an outfit from american eagle and gap, hanging out with my little preppy friends, listening to the soundtrack of newsies and drooling over eric fischer. THANK GOD Anna Nielsen saved me. I really owe so much to her. I was such a douche back then. Ick.

Class be overrrrr! I want to talk to sommmeone.

Well, I'm gonna sit here and do nothing for 10 more minutes because I have nothing to do. Funnnnnnnnn . . .

Tuesday, May 20, 2003

The time between now and last Friday has been dragging slower than any other time in my life. I mean, last night seems like 2 weeks ago. It's psycho. I think I've just been so happy, and I have so much to think about and hope for that I spend moments that I would have otherwise been laying fallow, thinking about and absorbing my life right now, and since I'm this perpetually active ball of thoughts and dreams, life seems so much more robust than it ws last Thursday.

Did that make any sense?

Well if you're not confused yet, here's a theory i just came up with.

Music is math. Notes are like numbers tuned to your ears. A 4, for instance, could represent a crescendo, ot the note C. Music can all just boil down to numbers. We have simple equations, and then some amazing people--the grand musical mathmeticians, aka composers--have the ability to create these amazingly complex equations that get under your skin. When you understand them, when you find the variable, you make the music. Musicians know the formulas, they feel the numbers coursing through their veins. When they play, their whole bodies ache with numbers. When you hear somebody who truly understands the equation, then they teach it to you through the music. You hear it, and you understand. It's like opening your eyes to the answer and the answer is finding you and shaking your soul. Numbers add and multiply and the more music you hear, the more are pulsing deep within you with primal rhythm, and they program you. A swaying side to side and a tapping toe seem mechanical, you feel the steady hands of machinery slide through your ears and slip itself into your disk drive, and you belong to the music. The numbers and the music are interchangeable, the sound and the matrices, the rhythm and the logarhythm.

Whoah. I like that.

Monday, May 19, 2003

Today's actually been a pretty exciting day so far! Go me, I was right! I'm wearing a really happy skirt that i haven't worn in quite a bit, and my hair is halfway down and i feel earthy, sort of.

Spent the hour reading fanfic :) It's been a while since the last time i did this.

Pay no attention to this link, it's just for me so i know where i am in the story:

http://fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=986677&chapter=4

Hehehe . . . it's a really fluffy h/d. Fun.

Ooop! Bell!

Sunday, May 18, 2003

This weekend totally exeeds the requirements of a good weekend.

It's a good weekend and a half.

I had two really awesome nights in a row, followed by two hours of dance and watching my sister's recital. I got my film developed too, with pictures of ozma and valleyfair and the party and such. Sweet stuff. I can feel this week coming on as an awesome one. We've got the last week of American Idol (which i'll be gone for, so it's going on tape), the pops concert, glass, the end of the school year nearing . . . I mean, next weekend is a 3 day weekend, and that means . . . 12 days left of school? Really?!? WOW! 12 days left of stuffy memorial high school, then on to something new and fresh and exilherating!

The sad part, though, is leaving people. Sometimes you just don't want to leave, but you have to. I know it's technically my choice to leave, but I just wish I could take some people with me. It will be so hard to not see some people every day . . . well, at least i'll have a phone. And a laptop with internet access. Thank god. Or whatever.

I can't wait for tomorrow. I just have a feeling it's going to be exciting.

Wow, I seem to have a fresh outlook on the world today. Go me.

:)

:D

Hee hee . . . time to stop.

Supergirl grinnnns.

Friday, May 16, 2003

Tonight was . . . so . . . good.

Wow.

I think that's just about all I can say.

Wednesday, May 14, 2003

So my crotch really itches right now, but I'm in school and scratching is not really an option, so I'm just going to sit here and bear it . . .

The Matrix Reloaded comes out today! Score! And only . . . a week and a month untilThe Order Of The Phoenix! Ahhhhhhhhhh! And only 3 weeks until the last day of school! Wow. Everything's just sneaking up on me now :) Life has been getting increasingly more exciting. Such that I shall share a poem? Yeah. I'd say.

This poem is written from the point of view from somebody that is ordinary in every way.

Sniff.

An Ordinary Lament

You sneer at me.
My supercilious existance
Is critiqued on the notepad in your eye sockets,
Torn off,
and put in a jar underneath your sink.

I'm told to be myself,
let loose,
But all that I after all
Is a sheep.
I'm born to stand in the crowd.

You keep me laying fallow
Until it's time
For you to shear me
And leave me,
Naked,
On the raw earth.

~fin~

I like it, kinda.

I'm listening to Alanis Morisette. She's a really awesome musician. I really like how music sounded back in "her time" (aka . . . 97? Was it? 96?) Back when they played Alanis and Jewel and Green Day and the like. That was pop music in it's prime--now pop is just a shell of what it used to be, full of justin timberlake and missy elliot and shit like that.

I have a huge (okay, actually small, but i'm a wuss) gash on the side of my hand and i don't know how it got there. I'm wondering if I just got it, or if it was on there before and I just didn't notice. It hurts either way.

Just passed Mrs. Froehle while walking across the library. Ohhhh, she hates me, you can tell. Bitch. I have no patience with that woman. I can't wait until next year when I leave her for good and go off to a place where english teachers don't drive you nuts. I hear from the students that the teachers there are so nice and most live on the campus, so they can help you all the time and will have you over for dinner and stuff. I'm hyped.

So what shit is Avril Lavigne trying to pull on the population? Who thinks she's punk except for 10 year old girls and fashion designers? Basically all she's done for society is exploit the punk culture and make everybody think that chucks and ties mean shitty pop. If she said she's what she fucking is, i'd have actual respect for her for keeping her pop to the mainstream style. I have no problems with Christina Aguilera doing what Christina Aguilera wants to do and making the music. But seriously, if Christina suddenly said she was a fucking opera star or something, it'd be fucking insane. And that's what Avril is doing.

My arms hurt from typing. I'm a wuss.

So I really like it when guys with good figures wear snug-fitting shirts. Yum. Ooooh, best case scenario: shaggy haired, tight shirt wearing, british speaking boy. Of course, though, personality overcomes all of that. Otherwise I'd just sit around all day waiting for the next plane to fly in from london and having the cast of detroit rock city walk out.

So I'm really afraid that one day my muse is just going to run dry, and I'll be left alone, nothing to create. Ever again. Sort of like a death before death . . . the hollow men, right mrs. froehle? fuck mrs. froehle, only 3 weeks until I never have to see her sorry face again. Ha.

The ball of my left foot hurts for no reason at all. It should stop.

Hey, but who am I to complain? Look at all that I have, the ball of one of my feet is no tragedy.

Today in English we watched a movie on the dust bowl, and in it they had a scene where there was a crowd of men clubbing little rabbits to death. It was so horrible--you'd see a rabbit get hit, but not die, and it would just sorta lay on the ground, twitching, probably in excrutiating pain, and the man who got him would just move on and club another little rabbit, and leave that one on the ground, in agony. If there was ever a sad point in humanity, there you have it.

So next year one of the stores in my campus has haribo gummies, and I'm going to eat them every day.

And I'm going to Concordia this summer! How exciting! It'll be a bit scary though in two aspects: I don't know that much German and I'm going alone. 2 weeks too! Eeeek. It'll also be sooo scary to go to Interlochen all alone, I hate going somewhere new and having to make new friends. When I don't really know people yet, I do get kinda shy, 'cause I'm afraid I'll make myself look like a complete douche. You know? Eeeek. At least I know some people! Like Ellen and Esther and Rumer, and any other kids I met info weekend that weren't seniors (rumor's the only one i can remember, she's only a frosh but she looked way older).

Rumer's actually been in a movie, color me jealous. She was in striptease with her mom, demi. Wouldn't it be so cool to be in a movie? Someday ;)

You held your breath and the door for me. Thanks for your patience . . . . yay alanis.

Well class is almost over, so I should probably get going. Yep.

Supergirl can't hear a damn thing Jenny is saying and is late for World Studies.

Tuesday, May 13, 2003

I can't wait until next year when I move away and have a laptop. It'll be nice to find someplace to write that my parents don't read (at least i think they read this one, which is why nothing exciting will ever go in here again).

Wow, a pop-up just popped up saying "win 50 pounds of lobster!"

That's SO cary if you know the lobster joke.

It had little dancing lobsters on it. **shudders**

The song "make our garden grow" that we sing in choir is soooooo pretty. Every time I sing it I just feel . . . beautiful. Making art of any form makes me love myself, and it's the best feeling in the world. I think interlochen is definitely going to be good for me. I'd write more on this subject right now, but my sister is making me play rap music and I can't think. Whoooooah, this rap band is british! I am obsessed with british people. I want to be british SO badly. They just said "oi oi oi oi" , , , ahhhh, british. THEY'RE SO AWESOME!

I think I have a british fetish. Seriously, when I'm older I'm going to make my boyfriends talk in a british accent to get me off. If somebody talks in a british accent i'm just like YUM. When I grow up I'm going to move to London. I think I have to. I just like british boys that much, yes. Then again, I'd just fall for any random asshole cause they all have british accents. . . oi!

THAT WAS THE COOLEST THING I'VE EVER DONE.

Graham just let me drive his little lawn mower all over my lawn. WOOHOO!

American Idol time! **looks guilty**

Supergirl whips up some cream and sits in front of the tv

Starved

I hunger,
I thirst,
I eat without shame,
Yet I am not full.
I bite the pit but not the fruit.

Sunday, May 11, 2003

Going through my 8th grade email, found this but funny:

(from eric amundson)
I don't really view you as hyper, joking, and sarcastic all the time. I think of you as more of a hyper, guy crazed mental wierdo who enjoys the weirdest hobbies, and 'sports.'

Hahaha, nice eric. Well I'm over n out, but if i find more i'll show ya.

Supergirl yawms and takes a shower.

Saturday, May 10, 2003

Right now I just feel SHITTY.

I just have this terrible feeling that everything's falling apart . . . everything. My plans, my plots, my dreams, my opportunities, all just sort of laying fallow off in some field or some warehouse, and i can't quite get there and they're crumbling quickly. Nothing ever lives up to expectations. I've fucked up a lot recently, and i'm wondering if that has to do with anything. I'm just tired and I'm lonely, waiting up for my sister to come home so I can at least hug her and know that not everyone's indifferent.

New poem, called The Mortician.

He traces his breath
Over her body with his eyes
It's clammy with death,
Pungeant with rotting perspiration,
Crusted with seemingly inconsequential blood.

The rough fabric of a dull washcloth
Hangs from his hand, reluctantly wiping
The crimson from her porcelain wrists,
And he wonders why she did it.

Her mother's lips
Her father's nose
Thousands of ancestors
All packed into a 124 pound
Carcass;
It's lighter not that its blood has gone
into the bathtub
and down the drain
to mingle with the sewage.

*fin*
Okay, there's room for improvement, but for now I kinda like it. Here's another one, this one about the day of silence:

One simple act of self expression;
The power of silence,
A ceaseless screaming perpetually audible
In the mind of the opposition.
Know, love and pity thy enemy
For turning working ears to a deaf sound.
Reach out your hands
And cover their ears
so they might see right from wrong,
or at least hear it.

Loss of one sense,
They say,
Triggers the others.
A sort of domino set of
Sight, touch, taste, smell and sound.
Let them hear the silence
As they open their eyes
And discover the truth.

Shhhhh . . .
Can you hear it?

Ozma . . . .what can I say?

One of the most amazing times of my life. I seriously love that band. It's like every song they sing is just beautiful to me . . . part of me wants to shout them off the rooftops, part of me wants to keep my treasure for myself. You see, I figure you can't hear ozma and not like them. So the more people hear, the more mainstream it gets. I like my bands underground :)

Bell . . . . I frittered away my hour reading dirty jokes with ben bonis. haha.

I think it's time for another full content entry.

Study hall yet again, sitting and shivering in front of the computer because it's so damn cold in this school. I've been thinking about that last poem I wrote, and what the instructor at interlochen said about being more modern, and I think I could improve it a lot. Well basically rewrite it with a different message, because i really liked some of the passages in it yet I think they could be surrounded by better writing.

I'm addicted to quizilla.

I kinda have to pee too.

Hmmmmmmmm . . .

ONE DAY UNTIL OZMA! Tomorrow I'm going to be watching one of the most amazing bands ever. I'm SO excited. Wow. Yes indeed, a couple of true ozma fans will be seeing them tomorrow night, and we will enjoy it immensely. Score.

You know what sounds kinda funny?

Potted cactus.

Hahahahaha. Potted cactus. Hahaha. Potted cactus. Heh. Heh heh heh.

I'M NOT A PUNK! Not really! I mean I'm kinda punky in ways, but NOT a punk. These stupid quizzes always tell me I'm punk, and I'm so sick of it. It's bad enough that i'm taking quizzes on labels, cause i don't like them, but now they're narrowed down to about 3. It's bullshit (haha, surprise. not.)

the bell rings!
